Purchasing Manager retires after 50 years
Metway will be celebrating the retirement of Mr Peter Dilloway on 24th May 2011 after completing an amazing 50 years with the Company. Peter began with Metway in 1961 at the age of 16, looking after the stock control and more recently the company's purchasing system. Peter officially retires on 27th May and all of his friends and collegues at Metway would like to wish him all the very best for his well deserved retirement.

Metway appoints new Financial Controller
Metway is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Lee Turner as Financial Controller. Lee joined Metway on 4th January 2011 to commence a handover from Mr David Macdonald Wallis the current company accountant who retires at the end of March 2011after completing 25 years with the business. Metway would like to wish David a happy retirement and congratulate Lee in his new appointment.

METWAY TAKES ON ANTARCTIC WIRING PROJECT
Metway Electrical Industries is supplying a pre-fabricated wiring system for a state-of-the-art scientific research centre in Antarctica, being built to house up to 52 members of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS).
Designed by Faber Maunsell and Hugh Broughton Architects, the revolutionary new station incorporates seven 60-tonne laboratory, energy and sleeping modules raised on giant legs and booted with skis. There is also a separate large module, which houses all the administrative and living facilities.

METWAY EXHIBIT AT LIGHT & BUILDING EXHIBITION 6th – 11th APRIL 2008
Metway will be featuring its comprehensive range of Wiring Systems products at the show. Designed to reduce costs in the wiring of lighting and power in commercial buildings by using a simple ‘plug & play’ system. Metway is able to offer either a comprehensive service to include drawing take offs, training, packing and labelling of products to specific building areas, or the supply of individual component parts for installation.
