 Metway Electrical Industries has launched the166 coloured "G" series of plug and socket connectors. Supplied with or without leading earth, the products are suitable for all control options.
The coding system of seven new colours* is geared to simplifying and speeding up complex installations as well as providing for higher safety levels through ensuring foolproof connection.
The 166 range, meeting European standard EN 60 320, already offers a mechanical coding system to prevent faulty plugging, with each pole having only one matching plug and socket. The colours correspond to this mechanical coding, visually reinforcing the separation of different circuits (e.g. general lighting, computers, emergency lighting) and control lines (e.g. dimmer outputs, motion detectors etc distinguished from each other and from power lines).
The new products add to the huge range of electromechanical connectors available from Metway Electrical Industries. These are featured in the new Metway Connect Range Catalogue and viewable on the recently upgraded Metway Electrical Industries website www.metway.co.uk.
