Declaration of Compliance with Regulations and Material Declaration

All products sold by Metway are in compliance with the latest updates of RoHS, REACH, WEEE and RPFOS requirements. Exemption 6c from RoHS for Lead (Pb) applies only to products with machined metal components.

All Metway products are compliant with the European Union Directive 2002/95/EC for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) with exemption 6c as noted above, the revised and recast Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2) and the latest amendment Directive (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS 3) and do not exceed maximum limits in homogeneous material per below:

1. Cadmium (Cd): 0.01%

2. Mercury: 0.1%

3. Lead (Pb): 0.1%

4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+): 0.1%

5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB): 0.1%

6. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE): 0.1%

7. Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): 0.1% (added in 2015).

8. Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): 0.1% (added in 2015).

9. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): 0.1% (added in 2015).

10. Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): 0.1% (added in 2015).

Lead (Pb) contain does not exceed the exemption no.6c, which allows lead (Pb) up to 4% by weight, as an alloying element Exemption 6.

RoHS2 is a CE Marking Directive, it is required that a CE marking, and a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) are available for finished electrical and electronic equipment.

Components are not considered equipment. Therefore, CE markings and DoC are not required for Metway electrical connectors products.

The Registration Evaluation Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals REACH 1907/2006 and all the restrictions adopted in the framework of REACH and the previous legislation, Directive 76/769/EEC (Annex XVII) requirements as they stand now are met. The products contain no Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) as listed in the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) web site list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and Substances restricted under REACH (Annex XVII) except for lead (Pb) that only applies to the products with machined metal components.

As of the 4th June 2021, Annex XVII to REACH contains 69 unique substances/entries. On 10th June 2022, ECHA increased the number of substances on the SVHC List to 224 substances.
