Metway are a major supplier to the electrical manufacturing industry based in Portslade, East Sussex. We were established in 1937 and have been providing electrical connector solutions for over fifty years to the lighting and electronic sector.

We are excited to be looking for a purchasing & production administrator to assist in the purchasing dept who can multi-task and manage time effectively. Immediate start available, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities of the Purchasing and Procurement Assistant Role:

· Raising purchase orders and works orders.
· Liaison with production and other departments.
· Liaison with suppliers and progressing orders.
· Negotiating pricing.
· Run various reports and action.
· Monitor customer forecasts and anticipate usage.
· General admin and filing.

The Ideal Purchasing and Procurement Assistant will:

· Be highly motivated with a positive, can do, flexible attitude.
· Have excellent time keeping and organized approach.
· Be a great team player, whilst also being able to work on own initiative.
· Have good communication skills.
· Possess reasonable IT skills.
· Previous purchasing experience would be advantageous.
