Metway is working in conjunction with Kier Construction and the Department of Education on the project of St John Vianney Special School. The school is a replacement for 160 pupils with SEND ( special educational needs & disabilities).

The target is to achieve Nett Zero thanks to efficient lighting control supplied by Metway supporting primary classrooms and secondary classrooms, specialised classrooms for subjects such as D&T and IT, sensory rooms, therapy rooms and a sports hall.

The development is due to be completed in 2026 when the old school will close and a new one will open.
